Inorganic chemistry
Chemistry of the s, p, d and f block elements, coordination compounds, crystal field theory, periodic trends.
Organic chemistry
Reaction mechanisms (SN1, SN2, E1, E2, additions, aromatic substitution), stereochemistry, spectroscopy and synthesis planning.
Physical chemistry
Thermodynamics, phase equilibria, chemical kinetics, electrochemistry and elements of quantum chemistry – with full working.
Materials chemistry
Structure of solids, polymers, crystalline and amorphous materials, research methods and material properties.
